Writer/Director, Delicate Little Flowers
I’m a long-time artist and writer but new to filmmaking as an art form. I got into miniature-building during the pandemic and that inspired me to build my own little world… and create a story to go along with it.
Film seemed like the best medium to make my idea come to life, but I had no prior experience, no budget, and no crew. So I gave myself a mini crash-course in filmmaking, researched each step along the way, and filmed it myself on a homemade set in my garage. Paid my kitty in treats for her work as voiceover catress and executive purrducer.
My first film is a feminist fable, and I use magic realism to teach a moral lesson about fairness and freedom for female humans. I have more story ideas in the works and more feminist fables to tell.
My background includes a variety of creative pursuits, e.g., fine art (painting, portrait drawing), jewelry design, miniature-building, web and graphic design. I’m also writing a book on women’s empowerment and founded a feminist Facebook community with over 225K members.
